This is a custom rubber stamp print that I made with a rubber eraser, block cutting tools, stamp ink, and upcycled snack packaging. I found that the inside of some snack boxes my family was throwing out were perfect for an art piece, so I cut 2"x3" pieces and stamped on a Lobster design I had made on a rubber eraser.
This is a letterpress art project I made for a school assignment. This piece was made with lead type and a proof press. The goal was to create a piece of art using one word in a creative way.
This is a screen print I made as a personal project. Visually, I was inspired by a lot of letterpress art, as well as old newspapers and flyers. In terms of content, I was inspired by the Dada movement, in which artists chose to make art without any sense of meaning or purpose. I don't wish to be a nihilist with this piece however, I simply find absurdity to be funny, and this is a way for me to portray my sense of humor.
This is a linoleum reduction block print that I made for a school project. I enjoy surreal and sometimes unsettling art, and I wanted to express that here. The main inspiration was this piece on instagram. I also wanted to portray Kansas wind fields, which I feel nostalgic for after having driven through so many of them over the years.
This is a linoleum block print I made for a school project. I wished to tell a story of life and death, the bottom right entity representing a new-born, and the stars in the upper left representing those who have passed.
